bike riding.....

finally, after months of (almost) begging and wondering if K would ever ride a bike, he decided to give it a serious try. We are not sure why it took so long, we even brought him to toys r us twice to pick out his own, the first time he came home with a trash truck, the second time he came home with a $10 robot hand. He just had NO interest. I don't know what did it, but whatever it was, it turned him into a bike ridin' fool! The best part is he LOVES his helmet. I think he actually likes his helmet more than his bike! And, of course, he is just thrilled to death when he can talk us into letting him ride his bike in the street, which he knows is a VERY big treat!

the coast continued.....

scott and i LOVE to take road trips, so this kind of trip is perfect for us. just a couple hours away, and we get to spend a fun weekend together. of course with the boys, our spontaneous road trips pretty much came to a halt, until now. they are both getting to the point that we can do anything with them now, and we love to! scott and i were both really looking forward to this trip this year because K is interested in fishing now and can really participate in the guy stuff, and T is getting big enough to really understand and have fun also. K could not have had more fun, he loves his cousin G so much and G is SO good with him. they just hang out and play all day! T got a lot of mommy time which i think he really needed! Scott got to do a little fishing, even though nothing was biting and i got to get my camera out for the first time in a while. we had a great time with Kim and Clint, the kids and Kim's grandmother. That is one feisty lady, she is hilarious!! can't wait until next year......

down at the coast.....

for the last three years we have joined Scott's cousin, with his family along with Scott's brother, and his family on a weekend trip to the coast to fish. this year my BIL and SIL, niece and nephew couldn't make it, but it was still a wonderful weekend getaway. this is the first time we have gone and the weather was nice, so the boys got a lot of outside and beach time!! i have only gone through a few of the hundreds of pictures i took, these are a few of the detail pictures.......

this is a sheep head fish. first of all, i had no idea there was a fish called a sheep head, so when the guys were talking about a sheep head....i thought they were really talking about a SHEEP HEAD and could not figure out why you would use a sheep head as bait.....yes its embarrassing.....
second, i was completely fascinated by the fact that this fish had teeth just like a human, who knew??? you can bet i won't be swimmin' around in that water!!!!!!
